Let’s get you set up for a successful lesson . . .
SET UP YOUR SPACE
We recommend using a wooden practice board (“tap board”) for your sessions. If you do not have a board, please find a solid surface that is suitable for practicing.
Please also have a journal or pen & paper nearby for note taking. We would love for you to keep an ongoing weekly journal.
You will need to make sure your internet connection is strong and your devices are set up AND CHARGED! ABC - Always Be Charging!
CLASS TOOLS & UPDATES
We use ZOOM as our platform for all our online programs!
Please have your practice space set, and audio settings (audio instructions below) updated before you are scheduled to begin. Your instructor will admit you into the lesson from the waiting room at your lesson start time.
Please adjust the angle of your camera so that your entire body can been seen on the meeting screen. If you cannot fit your entire body on the screen, please adjust so that we can see you from the waist down and make sure your feet can be clearly seen.
SET UP YOUR DEVICES
We recommend you use your laptop, desk computer, or connect to a big screen TV or display screen for the best experience! A phone can be used if a computer is not available.
If there is a way for you to hook your TV up to your device (with the ZOOM Class displayed) with an HDMI cable, we highly recommend it.
Please have your metronome and music available and ready to play directly from your device. You can download a free metronome app onto your phone to use in classes and rehearsals.
Make sure your Wifi is running at it’s fastest rate possible. If where you are setting up your practice area has spotty Wifi please use a Wifi extender or move your area closer to your router.
